I love to read. I probably love to read a little too much because I am constantly reading 2-4 books at any given moment. I used to be one of those people who always said, “I don’t like to read.” That is still true when I pick up a bad book. I realized that when I started reading good books I began to cultivate a love and passion for reading. So with that said I hope that you enjoy this list of some of my favorite books from 2016.

Ok, this book is amazing! Like crazy good! I am a HUGE fan of Andy Stanley. I don’t know how I had’t read this book until this year! Y’all for real. You need to read this. It does not matter where you find yourself in the lead this book will give you great practical tips on how to go to the next level in your leadership ability!

This book is not a christian book. It doesn’t pretend to be, but it is really good. I found myself literally shouting in my living room as I read this, “YES”! Such a great book about how being different doesn’t hinder your ability to change the world. You will like this book if you are like me and don’t really fit into the mold of what your profession wants you to be like.

If you know me you know I am a pretty big fan of the Osteen family. Dodie is my hero. I love her big time. This book is so good. Deeply convicting and gut level honest about her journey in life. I finished this book crying and wanting to become a better wife, mother, daughter, and friend. This is a beautifully told story about her life.

This book! Ohhhh my goodness is it good! I can see why they are making it into a movie in 2017. It is crazy good. It is not a christian book, and it does have some profanity in it. It is a really great fiction read that will keep you guessing till the end. I read it with a group of my girlfriends and we all were trying to guess what was going to happen. It is a fun leisure read that will keep you from sleeping so you can read to find out what happens!

I was hesitant to read this book. I have read a lot of books on this subject and honestly didn’t want to read another one. From the first chapter I was hooked! Terri’s writing in this book is so encouraging and inspiring. I finished the book with a total new perception of the words I am speaking and the importance of declaring God’s word daily. This is an easy read that will leave massive impact on your daily life. You want to get this book for 2017! If you want your year to be great you have to change what you are saying.
